Tired of fast-food depots relegating bacon to condiment status? Dunkin’ Donuts has cut out the middleman by adding a new dish that’s, literally, just a sack of bacon.
Dunkin’ wanted to “help on-the-go customers conquer their cravings without settling for tired and typical snacking choices,” according to their press release.
So the coffee-and-doughnut chain rolled out Snackin’ Bacon at Dunkin’ outlets nationwide. The portable paper pouch o’ pork entails eight half-slices (“equivalent to four full slices!”) of bacon that are glazed with “sweet black pepper” seasoning and served in a sleeve, like a french-fry bag.
Hey, what better way to bounce back from viral TikTok infamy than by touting bacon?
Each $2.79 serving clocks in at 190 calories, with 12 grams of fat, 10 grams of carbs and 9 grams of sugar.
But don’t fret if you prefer your bacon as a topping — traditionalists can still pig out on the same pork product in Dunkin’s Sweet Black Pepper Bacon Breakfast Sandwich.
The Snackin’ Bacon isn’t the only spring special to go hog wild over. The confection purveyor has also brought back its Egg White Bowl, the savory Sausage Scramble Bowl, as well as the Lucky Shamrock-themed doughnut and Irish creme-flavored coffee in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day.
