Candied Pecans Recipe

You can use ANY kind of nuts or a combination of different nuts for this recipe, like walnuts, almonds, cashews, peanuts, etc…. All of these will turn into the perfect cinnamon sugar candied nuts using this recipe, it’s simply the best!

You can use candied nuts for so many different recipes. IF you can hold off from snacking on them, they are great for topping on salads, desserts (including our popular Fireball Pumpkin Pie), ice cream, or just serving in bowls at gatherings. These are always such a huge hit with everyone!

This recipe has the perfect coating made with a cinnamon and sugar mixture and melds perfectly with the toasted pecan flavors. These will take 40-45 minutes to bake and will make your whole house smell wonderful!

Ingredients You Will Need:

  • Sugars – you’ll need granulated sugar and brown sugar.
  • Cinnamon – ground cinnamon adds the best flavor.
  • Salt – just a teaspoon of salt.
  • Pecans – you will use pecan halves.
  • Egg – you will beat an egg white and this will bind the ingredients together making a nice candy coating.
  • Vanilla – pure vanilla extract is best.

Candied Pecans Stovetop Method:

  • Add 1 cup of pecans to a large skillet. Toast over medium-high heat for 3 minutes, stirring often. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Add 1/2 cup brown sugar, a pinch of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of water to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook over medium heat until bubbling.
  • Add the pecans and cook for 3 more minutes, stirring to gently coat in the glaze.
  • Remove from the heat, and pour pecans out onto a parchment lined tray. Allow to cool completely.

This method will leave the pecans looking a bit glossy and will not have the same coating as pictured, but also taste great.
