What is first turn seating at the Kentucky Derby? ›

First Turn Reserved Seating allows guests to enjoy the famous, media-worthy angle of the Kentucky Derby Walkover, where contenders and their connections parade along the track from the barn area to the Paddock prior to the big race. Guests can enjoy expansive views of the whole track from the 2nd and 3rd level.

Clubhouse. For great views of the race minus some of the lavish VIP amenities, Clubhouse Box seats are your best bet. Clubhouse sections are on the 1st-3rd floors of the Clubhouse at Churchill Downs and include sections 312-321, 218-220 and 111-117. Most all Boxes are 6 seat boxes.
