One of the most common ingredients found on WhitneyBond.com is buffalo sauce. And you know what goes well with buffalo sauce? Ranch dressing! So today I’m introducing my homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix!

Making your own ranch seasoning mix at home is SO EASY and can add that delicious ranch flavor to a number of recipes. Add it to chicken marinades, rubs or breading. Toss potatoes in olive oil and ranch seasoning to make oven baked ranch fries. Or make homemade ranch dressing by combining the seasoning mix with milk and mayo.

Not a mayo fan? You can easily make homemade ranch dressing without mayo. Just substitute sour cream or greek yogurt and buttermilk!

I love making my own seasoning mixes at home because you know exactly what’s in it! This seasoning mix is vegetarian and gluten free. If you just want the herbs and spices, you can omit the buttermilk powder to also make the mix vegan, keto and whole 30 compliant.

Why buy ranch at the grocery store when it’s more affordable to easily make your own at home? You can make a double or triple batch so that you’ll always have the seasoning mix right in your pantry to use in recipes. Stored properly, this dry ranch mix will stay good in the pantry for up to 6 months. I like to store this seasoning mix in a mason jar.

What is it made of?

  • Dry Buttermilk Powder – this can easily be found at major grocery stores on the baking aisle, near the flour and other powdered milk products.
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Dried Parsley – for the dried herbs, I like to use Litehouse freeze dried herbs. Because they’re freeze dried as soon as they’re harvested, they’re more flavorful than traditional dried herbs. These can be found in the produce section of most grocery stores.
  • Dried Dill Weed
  • Dried Chives
  • Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper

Litehouse Dill, Parsley and Chives, as well as Dry Buttermilk Powder can also be purchased on Amazon.

Is the nutritional info you posted for (1) Tbsp or actually all 14 Tbsps? I’m guessing the recipe makes 14 Tbsp, and the nutritional info is per serving or per Tbsp….

Hi Vanessa, yes, the nutritional information is per serving, which is 1 tablespoon. The recipe makes 14 servings/tablespoons.

Hi Shawnna, I’m so glad you came across the blog! Too funny that we have so many similarities, it’s such a small world! I don’t think we’re related to any Bonds in Arkansas, but you never know, could be distant relatives! I hope you enjoy the recipes and find some new desserts to bake up! The Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies are my personal favorite!
